Summary draft 1

In the article, “The RoboBee Flies Solo,” Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (2019) has stated that after decades worth of research, they have successfully developed technologies to create the lightest ever vehicle to maintain sustained untethered flight. They stated they have developed an extremely lightweight circuit and integrated high-efficiency solar cells to tackle the trade-off between mass and power. The addition of an extra pair of wings and a more efficient transmission due to changes on actuator and transmission ratio gave the vehicle the extra lift, enabling it to run on solar power alone. It stated that the next step would be to control the RoboBee remotely. The article also states that these technologies are not just limited to the Robobee and could be implemented in the development of other devices.

Self-Introduction

Dear Professor Blackstone, My name is Oh Yong Wei. I am writing this letter to you to introduce myself as a student in your effective communication class. Since young, i excelled in subjects such as physics, chemistry and maths. After my n-levels, i was selected for the poly foundation programme. I began to looking at the subjects I was interested and also strong in and choose to specialise mechanical engineering. MotoGP and Formula 1 piqued my interest in studying engineering. It is the technological pinnacle of motorsport, where all drivers aspire to be. The amount of engineering and technology that goes into it is just unbelievable. It takes engineering to the next level, always working on the limit. As i furthered studied engineering, i became to appreciate the engineers who made our everyday lives easier and even effortless. Almost everything we see nowadays are thanks to the engineers who came up with solutions and innovations that countered the problems to make ever...
